What’s Vivaldi’s business model?
We recently put together a blog post explaining how we make the money we need to keep doing what we’re doing. It’s just that many businesses today, including browsers, are built on the data-collection model, and users often ask us how we could survive without selling personal data to advertisers and publishers. Bottom line, we don’t track or profile you. Nor do we collect usage data. Take a look at how we do this and share with anyone who might be wondering the same.
More Instagram functionality on Vivaldi
If you’re on Instagram, you’ll know that there’s precious little you can do from your computer. It’s all meant to happen on your phone.
Back in January, we announced that Vivaldi is the only desktop browser that lets you post on Instagram from your computer. We’ve just added one more clever trick to the list – the ability to privately message other Instagrammers from your computer.
This is courtesy of Instagram testing a web version of direct messaging that lets people chat without the mobile app. It’s part of an effort to add more functionality to its mobile browser version. With Vivaldi, you are able to open this version on your desktop and that makes direct messaging from your computer possible. As you may have guessed, all you need to do is add Instagram as a Web Panel!
Do spread the word about this cool functionality!
What’s the buzz
Every so often we like to brag about what people are writing about us. This week we’re sharing some of the wonderful buzz around Vivaldi from the past few weeks. From articles in Polish, Russian and French, to CNET and The Register, take a look and keep up to date. Oh, and spread the word if you happen to be in the countries we mention.
As always, a big thank you for helping us spread the word about Vivaldi! 😍
